Eating too much salt can cause other problems in the body as well as being harmful to the bones. Experts say that eating foods high in salt will reduce calcium levels in bones. It is also harmful for kidneys.

Excessive alcohol consumption causes loss of bone mass, damaging bone structure. Also increases the tendency of bone fracture. Alcoholism can weaken bones at an early age.

Excess caffeine intake may cause bone loss in postmenopausal women. Caffeine removes calcium from bones, which causes bone strength to decrease.
